Asians and Airports

What's up with Asians at airports wearing those surgical masks? I must have missed that day on Asian training day. I see that somewhat frequently and it sort of creeps me out. Don't like it at all.

It makes them feel taller... No really, a few years ago it was to prevent the spread of SARS... mainly from the people who travel frequently to China, but I guess there could be something else now. The bad thing is a lot of airports would not allow the customs inspectors to wear masks even when most of their passengers had them on themselves...

Thanks to John and Stef I now own some SARS masks for myself so I can be the Asian wearing a mask at the airport next time.
