2nd Annual Backtoms Football Tailgate

I believe we all drunkenly agreed that this years annual tailgate will take place on the Florida weekend which is October 24.  The General's Daughter (Devin) is already preparing his checklist for all of the supplies we need.

If you missed it last year we had a great time.  We had ~15 of us there under 2 of the 10'x10' tents in The Junction.  Devin worked his butt off by measuring each burger out to the 1000th of an ounce to match his special blend of seasoning (he counted out each grain of dry seasoning).  This year we are looking to go even bigger and better.

Details about where/when we are staying are in the planning process now.  Stay tuned for updates.

I missed it last year, but would love to catch a football game this year. Is someone going to try and get a block of rooms? If so, put me on the list. Anyone looking to split/share a room?

There lies the problem. We don't have the room thing worked out yet. We talked to Comfort Suites and she basically said they are booked (as is most every other decent hotel around there), but you can call on Monday prior to the game to get on the waiting list for cancellations.

I've got my top people (John & Vanessa) looking into this and we'll get something figured out.

Nay-Nay has already talked to the Hampton Inn (other side of fraternity row) and they don't know exactly how much they are charging yet, but she got her name added to the list anyway. Supposed to hear back from them in about a month.

Also, she looked into the RV thing and they were about $1000 a weekend, not really that good of an idea afterall.

James and I discussed the RVs too. I didn't realize that even the biggest ones on the road seem to only have 1 bedroom per se. The other people are sleeping on various surfaces here and there. This looks pretty cool though.

James two things. First, leave the crustache wearing to me. I'm the only one that knows how to properly grow one. Second, I'm glad you liked my burger marinade at the tailgate last year. It took me several lonely nights to make it...
